    ASGI, a division of the Texas Songwriters Association International (TSAI), is a 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 1986. Originally known as the Austin Songwriters Group, it has expanded its membership to include songwriters from Texas, other states, and around the world. ASGI offers education, performance opportunities, and industry connections for songwriters of all levels. Ongoing activities include weekly song evaluations, monthly open mics, quarterly workshops, and annual contests, symposiums, and Zoomposiums.

    The Austin Symphonic Band (ASB) was founded in 1981. ASB is a group of volunteer musicians who combine their talents and services to provide performances of artistic merit for the benefit of Band members, audiences, and the Austin community. The ninety-plus members of ASB come from all walks of life and unite in a common passion for making music. Our volunteer musicians meet weekly to rehearse and perform 3 indoor concerts and 4 outdoor concerts each year.

We partner with city, state and non profit entities to create paid performances opportunities for musicians. ATXMPRO is a free membership for working musicians. Applicants must meet four of six requirements listed on the site, including: - Income, music related (40% or higher) - 25 live/studio music gigs or 200 lessons in last 12 months - Registered business - Live in Austin 1 year or longer - Online presence with: official website, social media profile, or patronage platform - Minimum of 5 commercial releases in last 10 years
